Introduction to UAV Fundamentals

Class Highlights (5 days)

  • When necessary, the student learns how to control one control surface at a time and when mastered another surface is added
  • The advanced flight control system makes your learning fast and easy! The system gives you time to learn and allows time for the proper control inputUAV TRAINER
  • Training vehicles include large unmanned airframes powered with gasoline engines that handle similar to the larger UAV's
  • Emphasis is placed on proper approach and landing techniques
  • Up to six flights per day, plus workshops to increase overall understanding of airframes, engines and command and control systems.
  • Four UAV / UAS students per class, with two instructors, ensures ample flying time and personal attention!

"System Out" Workshop

Class Highlights (4 days)

  • Operators are required to be able manually land and takeoff.
  • Emergency procedures & practice for aileron failure.
  • Emergency procedures & practice for engine failure.
  • Emergency procedures & practice for elevator failure
  • Crosswind landing techniques & practice.
  • Disorientation remedies
  • Four UAV / UAS students per class.

Difficult Visual Landings Clinic

Class Highlights (3 Days)

  • Use of Flaps for landings.
  • Crosswind landing techniques & practice
  • Techniques and methods for proper approach alignment.
  • Proper glide slope on approach.
  • Emphasis is placed on proper approach and landing techniques
  • Proper use of throttle
  • Four UAV / UAS students per class.

Command & Control UAV Seminar

Class Highlights (5 Days)

  • 3 Days Classroom instruction
    • Basics of Up / Down Links for sensors & systems
    • Command and Control systems & procedures
    • Communication proceduresUAV Kestral 1 by DTI
    • Basics of automatic navigation.
  • 2 Days UAS Command and Control Flight
    • Command Center orientation
    • Waypoint navigation
    • Instrument use and orientation
    • Fine points of UAV guidance
  • Industry Referrals.

VTOL Fundamentals Workshop
